Workshops

Series

Build Digital Confidence.

Learn the basics of technology and online safety in a supportive environment. Topics include, amongst others:

  • Using smartphones, tablets, and apps with confidence.

  • Staying safe online and protecting your privacy.

  • Connecting with friends, family, and community digitally.

Navigate the AI World.

Demystify artificial intelligence and become an informed digital citizen. Topics include, amongst others:

  • Understanding AI tools like ChatGPT and Canva AI.

  • Spotting misinformation, deepfakes, and scams.

  • Protecting your ideas and intellectual property online.

Thrive in the Digital Economy.

Build financial security and career readiness skills for today’s world. Topics include, amongst others:

  • Managing finances and preventing fraud.

  • Exploring entrepreneurship and side-income pathways.

  • Creating resumes and business plans with digital tools.

Together, we’re building inclusive, future-ready programs for LGBTQ+ adults 50+.

OUT4BIZ Network Association is a newly incorporated nonprofit dedicated to empowering LGBTQ+ entrepreneurs and professionals through digital skills, AI literacy, and community building.

We’re proud to partner with UpliftBlack.org, a leading nonprofit known for mentoring Black communities through impactful programming. Their Accelerate Your Proud Business Accelerator — a 12-week virtual program for BIPOC 2SLGBTQI+ entrepreneurs, proudly supported by the CGLCC (Canada’s 2SLGBTQI+ Chamber of Commerce) — has a proven track record of equipping underrepresented entrepreneurs with real-world tools, mentorship, and inclusive business practices. Drawing on this expertise, UpliftBlack will guide OUT4BIZ in building Future-Ready 50+ — helping LGBTQ+ and newcomer adults 50+ build digital confidence, explore the world of AI, and strengthen financial empowerment in our in-person workshops.

We’re also proud to partner with The 519, a City of Toronto agency committed to the health, happiness, and full participation of 2SLGBTQ+ communities. For nearly 50 years, The 519 has been at the forefront of responding to evolving community needs through its innovative model of Service, Space, and Leadership. With a strong history of programming for Older 2SLGBTQ+ Adults, The 519 brings invaluable experience in advancing equity, justice, and community strength. As part of this partnership, they are providing in-kind venue space, access to their computer lab, and outreach support — ensuring Future-Ready 50+ is grounded in community connection and built on a foundation of inclusion.
