FAQ

Anyone can join as a buyer (someone requesting services) or an expert (someone offering services). We welcome all genders, orientations, and professions.

1. Sign up or log in
2. Visit the Browse Experts page
3. Use filters to find an expert (e.g., by transaction type, location, availability)
4. View the expert’s listing and click Reply to Listing
5. If you cannot find an expert, Post a Request

What happens after I post a request?

1. Experts review your request and may submit offers to help fulfill it.

2. You evaluate the offers and choose the one that best meets your needs.

3. Message the expert to discuss and agree on the project details — whether it's a paid service, a barter arrangement, or a combination of both.

4. An order is created once you accept an offer, and the status is set to “Processing.”

5. The order remains in “Processing” until you, the buyer, mark it as “Complete.”

6. Mark the order as “Complete” once you're fully satisfied with the service delivered.

Listings that support barter will indicate “Barter” in the transaction type. You can also filter for Barter Only experts in search.

Currently, transactions are handled off-platform. Once you connect with an expert, you can negotiate pricing, timing, and payment method privately.

We do not charge any fees or commissions on transactions between buyers and sellers. OUT4BIZ simply acts as a facilitator for the exchange of services, and all financial agreements and payments are settled directly between the involved parties. We encourage users to engage in secure, fair, and transparent transactions.

Yes! After your service is completed, you can leave a review directly on the expert’s profile.

1. Sign up and complete your profile
2. Go to your dashboard and click Add Listing
3. Fill out your service details, including whether you accept Paid, Barter, or Both
4. Submit for review (moderation applies)

If you’re open to trades, describe what kinds of goods/services you're willing to accept (e.g., “Web design in exchange for legal consulting” or “Barter for photography, accounting, or event space”).

Yes! You can select Both under “Transaction Type” and explain your preferences in the “Barter Details” field.

You'll get an email or dashboard notification when someone contacts you. You can communicate, quote, and schedule the service via your OUT4BIZ.ca account or directly.

An order remains marked as “Processing” until the buyer manually marks it as “Complete.” This lets buyers confirm they’re fully satisfied with the service before closing the order.

Use Price when you want to offer a flat fee for the entire job—regardless of how long it takes. Choose Hourly Rate if you prefer to charge based on the actual time you spend working.

Yes. Bartering is legal and widely practiced. Keep in mind that barter transactions may be subject to tax — consult a tax professional for accurate guidance.

Yes. You can negotiate to combine partial cash + partial barter, depending on your preferences and the client’s offer.

Click Log In → Forgot Password, and follow the instructions sent to your email.

Yes. From your dashboard, go to My Listings, then choose Edit or Delete.

OUT4BIZ.ca is fully mobile responsive, so you can use it on your phone or tablet. An app may be launched in the future.

Listings and requests are reviewed by an admin within 24 hours to ensure community safety. Offensive, fraudulent, or inappropriate content will be removed.
